28mm Napoleonic Russian Hussars & French Dragoons

After a long crazy Christmas finally back in the swing ...there has been car crashes ,wife in hospital and no car to use but that is all behind now and onwards and upwards.
Below you will see some lovely Napoleonics done for the collection of my friend Paul S. they are Perry Miniatures and represent the Russian Marioumpal Hussars (in blue and yellow) and the Soumy Hussars (in red and grey)...The first rank of the Hussars are all carrying lances and this itself was a quiz as there are no clear references to all the lance pennants used by Hussars but the two used here are definates.
I painted the Hussar horses using oils with light yellow undercoats giving a lighter brown and chestnut final colour making them slightly lighter to the dragoons in finish.

Here we have the Perry's Dragoons all of which are the metal figures with bed roles and campaign look... They are painted here as the 7th Dragoons and as mentioned above this time the horses were painted with a darker earthen undercoat with the oil finish therefore a darker bay then those of the Hussars.

Finally below some scenes showing all the units on the field.
