28mm Infamy Infamy Year of the Four Emperors update

Hi all
just a quick update on the things I have added to the Infamy sets that I have.
Below you will see a six man set of Gallic cavalry which are figures I believe from 1st Corps , although I don't know for sure as I have had these figures for some time...lol
Lovely to paint up and fit really well into the period.

Next we have some Gallic archers in a skirmish group of six
These are Renegade figures and go with the main Gallic warrior set already done...very easy to paint and another good addition.

Finally at the moment I decided to add a Scorpion bolt thrower to the Vespasian side.
The set is from Warlord games with a Foundry loader and again it fits perfectly into the collection.

28mm Franco -Prussian War for "Sharp Practice " with a twist

Hi all
This is the start of a new project for Sharp Practice of Franc-Prussian war.
When I decided on the idea I thought that I would need to buy new stuff but then I remembered that when I was a child I had painted some of my airfix WW1 Germans and French foriegn legion for this period and thought why not do the same sort of thing.
Above and below is the project so far and as I had lots of Renegade figures left over from a previous 1914 collection I was away.

The French have had epaulettes added to their coats but this is all and the full caps have been painted and the Chasseurs for them are from Renegade and would you believe Artizan Foreign Legion...The Lovely French Mitrailleuse Gatling gun is a "kit-bashed piece using a British artillery gun and re-working the model into the shape needed and then adding the crew...looks good enough for me and they were used during the war.

The Prussian troops have had their helmets painted with crests on the front  but the cut of uniform is perfect... The same for their Jaegers

I intend to use 1st Corps Zouaves for the French Zouaves for their project and even their Marines officers who have epaulettes as they are ideal
Below are some of the figures in close up...

28mm World War two Finnish troops

Hi guys I have just finished this WW2 Finnish troops commission and I thought you might like a look.
The troops are from Warlord ones in grey and an unknown to me but I bet all the ww2 people will know.
I enjoyed painting and basing these chaps as they are a little different from other theatres I do.

I did note that a lot of the equipment and weapons are a mix of German and Russian.

This anti tank rifle looks a little different though...

A special add on for the purists...

28mm English Civil War cavalry

Just recently painted these lovely figures for my friend Martin...there were a few more but I thought these were enough to show them.

The  first set below are from Redoubt Miniatures and are still as lovely as when first designed many years ago and include a couple of foppish looking officer types.

Here we have more from Redoubt Enterprises and again show charging with a couple of Officer types
The figures were painted as requested in generic neutral colours.

Below we have the first figures from Renegade and again they are lovely stuff and this group includes a foppish trumpeter.

And finally another set of Renegade spirited galloping poses.
The only thing I will say about the Renegade figures is to be careful about the feet on their charging horses as the ankles are very week.
