54mm NAPOLEONIC GAME 1 (Black Powder)

Would you believe that my new next door neighbour is a young lad who loves wargaming...so in the best traditions we partook of a quick game of black powder...NAPs style..his French came on in the same old way and I defeated them in the same old way...lol

I think Ian was a big warhammer player before as he was happy to just charge up the table but after a few losses he got the idea.
I do enjoy getting the old traditional figures out for an airing ...I have bin challenged again..it was his first black powder game and unfortunately poor old Ney took a drumming again with the Guard.

The figures are all from my "retro" seventies Airfix and Timpo collection...with Britains buildings and brillo pad bushes...only the best...lol

Some ECW stuff

Bin working on an order for some English Civil War stuff and they were specific uniforms...and units.
Firstly here are the King himself and some commanders including Prince Rupert , Lord Hopton and William Waller.
Next we have Prince Ruperts Lifeguards of horse and some Northern horse....lovely to paint these figures, as they needed variants of off whites as well as buff.

Finally four groups of musketeers, two of which are in red and grey and then one in maroon and blue and one in blue and yellow...I have placed all the figures behind a good wall for the piccies as Iam not actually basing them.
Al in all a nice little set and lovely figures to paint.

WAR OF ROSES 54s

A friend of a friend contacted me a short while ago asking if I could paint some of his new range of WOR figures...and that they were in 54mm...not having painted medievals in this size I said I would give it a go.
He told me that his figures were for wargaming so I have gone for a definite wargames effect ...hope you like.
The first figures are of archers and have been done in the livery of Richard III.

WW2 TANKS FOR THE 1st CORPS BROTHERS

Was recently asked by my great mates Mick & Simon of 1st Corps to do them some Allied and German tanks to go with there own WW2 stuff.
First were a number of panzer 3 & 4 s and some stugs along with a couple of trucks and control vehicles...

They also asked me to give some a few foliage coverings for the bocage areas of the Normandy campaigns.
Next came the allies and I painted a large number of Shermans with 3 Churchills and a Centaur....all done in 7th Armoured markings...a very enjoyable time, and cant wait to see them on a game...
