28mm Sharp Practice ACW collection using 1st Corps Figures

As you know if you follow me I am a great lover of 1st Corps figures so over a few month I looked through my boxes and decided to see what ACW figures I had left to form a new Sharp Practice collection.

I then found lots of different figures including Iron Brigade and Zouaves as well as numerous lovely mounted cavalry and Berdan sharpshooters.

I set to work on the troops and really enjoyed sorting my forces for this collection...Many of they figures being up to 30 years old yet they still stand up today.

Below you can see my Union forces of Iron brigade 2 groups 5th Zouaves 2 groups and 9th Zouaves 1 group ,Dismounted cavalry skirmishing and Berdans skirmishing..

Here we see the Confederate forces for the game including 2 units of 2 groups each of infantry and 2 groups of dismounted cavalry skirmishing and a group of Texas Rifles skirmishing...

For the larger movement trays I made my own using sand and wood glue and tacking pennies to the bases then putting round pieces of magnetic card in the gaps and on the figures bases...

28mm Wurttemberg Napoleonics from Piano Miniatures

Its been a long while since I updated my blog but I am sure this collection will interest you.

The figures are from Piano Miniatures and are metal prints of 3D printed miniatures. The company has moved on to other miniatures in the Napoleonic period and re wonderful figures.

The figures are lovely to paint if the detail is a little fine, but this is to be expected from a 3D print.

There are numerous troop variants and all with varying poses. The figures are compatible to most other Napoleonics so fit well with other ranges, although you may like to stay with these once you've started with them.

After originally doing these regiments above I added the ones below and this has given a large force ready for Black Powder.
Just the cavalry next and I have two units of mounted guard and Chasseurs to add.
